Born In Northern Ontario, currently makes his home base in Windsor, Ontario with his wife and four children. Writing poetry has been in his blood since his early teens. While living out west in the 1990's, Robillard took various writing classes with such notable writers as Dennis Cooley, Pat Friesen and Fraser Sutherland. Chris Scott, a novelist , mentored him in 1998-99. Robillard has published over 60 creative works starting in 1986. These include: Tyro (1986-89), Generations 90 ,(1990), Am/ Use Me (1993-94).
By 2004 his poems had appeared in Rampike, Rattle Magazine, Open Window, and The Butcher's Shop Press. Since 2004 Robillard has appeared in New Hope International, Rattle, Kaleidoscope Journal, Dufus Magazine, Regina Weese, Algoma Ink, Dusty Owl, Prairie Journal, and most recently, Change Magazine (Spring, 2006).
Robillard is a teacher and amateur photographer.
